Instructor: Rosann Scalise, M.Ed. Rosann has been a meditation practitioner for 35 years and has been teaching meditation for more than 15 years
Meditation practice has been shown to reduce stress, improve immune function, increase positive emotions and attentive abilities, and deepen the qualities of empathy, inner calm and patience. The practice helps practitioners see into their deepest nature, and in so doing, become freer from suffering and able to feel gratitude for what each day brings.
Some of the topics included:
How to work with a "chattering mind," learning how to befriend thoughts and feelings, rather than being pulled around by them.
How to work with the breath to focus one's attention and deepen relaxation.
How to work with difficult emotions such as fear, anger, sadness, etc.
The program is ongoing, Wednesday mornings. The cost is free.
