Kids & Teens, this is your time to run your own shop!

Kids and teens can enjoy the opportunity to run their own business for the night at the Kids Market! Whether you wish to make your own product or share a talent, this is the perfect time to do it.

  • All are encouraged to also participate in the Financial Literacy Workshop on August 4th from 2-3 pm. This year, First Source will present their interactive Lemonade Stand workshop to go over money basics and mangement. At the end of this program, art supplies will also be available for those who wish to use it to create their products to sell.
  • Kids Market Participants will design their business and what they are selling on their own. They are welcome to work at the library, to talk over questions, etc. But the bulk of the work will be independent. Of course, they are welcome to team up and use other people as resourcs too!
  • On the night of the Kids Market, kids can begin setting up their table any time at or after 6 pm. The soft opening begins at 6:30 pm with a quieter environment. Then, from 7-8 pm the full Lemonade on the Lawn event takes place with music by Austin Florenz, lawn games, refreshments, and more.
  • Participants will have a 3 foot section of a table available. Or they are weclome to bring their own set up.
  • Participants will handle their own financials, including pricing and collecting payment. Pay by donation is also a great way to handle it.
